DDA plays a major role in Delhi Master Plan 2021, it procures land and handover the land to CGHS (Cooperative Group Housing Societies) and other private builders.
On 5th September 2013, The Ministry of Urban Development has approved a new land pooling policy through S.O. No 2687E, according to this policy under the supervision of DDA, a private builder can procure land directly from the farmers and carry out the construction of housing and commercial projects. All the developmental activities are to be carried out under MPD 2021. As per the plan, DDA will retain a proportionate part of the procured land for developing civil amenities and for additional developments, later it return back the left over land to the developer for construction.
The DDA supervises this first ever enormous real estate project in the country named as The Delhi Master Plan (MPD 2021), this plan is developed to meet the demands of large population in Delhi-NCR. DDA takes officials from DDA’s finance, land management, accounts. Legal, planning and engineering departments to build up a separate organizational frame work to the proposal of Land Pooling Policy. The Master Plan 2021, Delhi is made according to DDA roles and GIS technology. According to the DDA Master Plan 2021, Delhi Heights Multi State CGHS Ltd, a well known housing and real estate company is taking care of the developmental and constructional activities in L, K1 and P2 zones.
